This will give us all a great opportunity to visit Japan. IFBLS is a membership organisation and it is imperative our members attend these meetings. In response to cases of A(h1N1) influenza, reported in Mexico and the United States of America, the Director-General convened a meeting of the Emergency Committee to asses the situation and advise her on appropriate responses. Concerning public health measures, in line with the Regulations, the Director-General is recommending, on the advice of the Committee, that all countries intensify surveillance for unusual outbreaks of influenza-like illness and severe pneumonia. | The IFBLS council is very glad to announce that Janna Malseed has now started working as the Office Administrator of IFBLS. Janna lives in Hamilton and has experience working in NGO (Non-Governmental Organisations) environment. She previously worked for 20 years for the Musicians Guild, and very much enjoys working with people and communicating with members. |
