IBMS Appoints New CEO

The Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) has announced the appointment of Jill Rodney as its new Chief Executive. Ms Rodney will commence her full-time role on 31 January 2011, and replaces Alan Potter who is retiring after 20 years as Chief Executive.

Jill joins the IBMS with a remit to ensure that it continues to thrive as the leading professional body for biomedical scientists in the UK, setting professional standards, accrediting university degrees, offering biomedical science courses and awarding its own qualifications. She comes with an excellent understanding of the healthcare sector, having enjoyed broad ranging experience in the acute and community setting, and of policy development and delivery.
