Earthquake in Haiti PDF Print E-mail

A 7.0 earthquake hit southern Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 causing catastrophe in the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Damage and destruction is widespread, with casualties and the death toll is not yet known, and is expected to be high given the earthquake’s close proximity to the capital and the fragile condition of buildings. Our thoughts are with the Haitian people at this time of difficult struggles.
