Excerpts from the IFBLS By-Laws regarding the GAD (Alternate GAD)
Alternate General Assembly of Delegates (GAD)
Who is Eligible to Attend:
As a registered non-profit organization in Canada, under the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (CNAC), we are required to hold annual business meetings each year with our Association Members. It is at these meetings where we present the work of IFBLS in the past year, review the current financial statements and and discuss the future work of IFBLS.
These business meetings are a legal requirement under Canadian law. As defined in IFBLS By-Laws, each Association Member will officially designate (1) Chief Delegate to represent their National Association, and when meeting space allows, additional but limited invited guests may be eligible to attend.
Intent to Participate forms and Credential Certificates will be circulated to Association Members prior to the meetings. It is on these forms organisations officially designate their Chief Delegate for the GAD meetings, and when meeting space permits, may name a maximum of one (1) additional guest from their organisation.
